当館が日本各地で採集してきた「本物のかたつむりの殻」に、軟体部分を樹脂で本物そっくりに造形し、生きている時の様子を再現した、オリジナルのフィギュアです。
ラセン館では、数百種類・全国各地のかたつむりリアルフィギュアを一堂に観察することができます。
殻には様々な模様や色が付いていますが、殻の薄いカタツムリの仲間では、軟体部の模様や色が透けて見えるものが多くあります。これがリアルフィギュアを作る魅力のひとつです。

At the Rasenkan, you can observe hundreds of snail real figures from around the country.
Snails have colourful shells with various patterns; some have thin shells, almost transparent, through which the colour or patterns on the surface of their soft bodies can be seen. This is one of the fascinating points of making these figures.
